SUMMARY

In September 2024, TRPA hosted a dance night event aiming to provide opportunities for students to unwind, socialize, and build relationships in a fun, supportive atmosphere.

I was asked to create a logo design and an innovative poster to announce the ‘power pop girls’ theme and promote ticket sales for the event, as well as create a 10-slide seamless carousel post for their Instagram.

I used y2k-style stickers to evoke nostalgia and appeal to the intended audience of students on campus looking for a fun social night out. I created 2 versions of the poster for the presidential team to choose from, pink and grey, ultimately settling on the pink version as it was better fit for their social media feed.

BACKGROUND

TRPA is a non-profit student advocacy organization at Toronto Metropolitan University that aims to create connections and advocate for the interests of LGBTQIA+ students on campus.

As Marketing Executive, it is my role to develop strategic campaigns that align with our mission and goals. Through leading creative discussions, executing innovative outreach strategies, and social media management, I work to build meaningful connections from campus to beyond.
